Wheeler Stone (AKA Doc Stone) lives the Steampunk lifestyle from his clothing to his career where he went from being a nurse to creating Doc Stone Studios where he produces steampunk clothing as well as accessories. He has been running with his colleagues the Key City Steampunk Festival for several years right here in Frederick! We talk about the festival, the steampunk lifestyle movement among other things.
More information about the festival can be found here along with how one can buy tickets!
I had the pleasure of interviewing Jennifer Brannan, a Scientist, who’s contesting the incumbent State Senator Ron Young along with Jennifer Dougherty in the upcoming primary election on June 26th (VOTE FOR HER!). Jennifer is running on many platforms including providing support for working families, healthcare as well as education and we discuss all this and more.
Chef Chris Spear has been on the Frederick cooking scene since 2010 when he started Perfect Little Bites, a company focused on a personal chef type cooking and catering experience for small parties (~six to ten) with the idea of bringing a restaurant type dining experience in the comforts of your own home. He has been featured in over 17 publications including Frederick’s own TheFrederick News Post and The Frederick Magazine and has a huge following on Twitter (over 2000 followers) and on Facebook.
Chris also spearheads Chefs without Restaurants where he sought out and formed a community of fellow chefs who like himself work in non-traditional cooking environments (food trucks, catering from home, etc.). A community where resources and ingredients are shared, referrals are provided for one another based on their area of expertise and most important of all, discuss and share ideas with one another.
